    Battery tender usage in India.

    Hi Friends, I want to buy a battery tender Jr. From the USA for my motorcycle. But there are a few queries I have. Will the battery tender work in India? 110v @50hz vs 220v @60hz. Also can I use a 220-110 converter and use it in India without any issues? If anyone has used or is using it please let me know how you made it work. Does it work right or if the box or do I need the converter.

      Haven't used the device you've mentioned but anything which isn't rated to work at 220V would need a voltage converter (220 -> 110). Based on the power requirements of the device (wattage) you would need to buy an appropriate converter. You get these small 3 pin converters which are not good for anything other than mobile chargers, and then you get the more high power converters for around 1.3k-3k which are suitable for high power drain devices.

      So unless it's mentioned on your battery tender device that it can operate at 220v, you definitely need to buy a converter. Either check the device, or manual(if provided), or manufacturer's website(if available) or contact the manufacturer directly to find out if it can work at 220v.
