The day of delivery the seat cover fitting wasn't don't properly and the side stand indicator wasn't working
At 700 kms the reserve tap stopped working and the head light stopped working and the rear breakpads had to be changed and there was air filter blockage
At 3000kms the rear number plate light failed , the engine had misfiring problem after the radiator switched on and the mileage was 13 KMPL ( reserve to reserve )
At 5000 kms the misfiring issues was sorted and the reserve tap was replaced under warranty and the mileage was 15-16 KMPL ( reserve to reserve )
With my limited knowledge of bike I suggested them to check the air filter for the mileage but they adamantly refused saying it'll run for 20000kms without any need for change .
I did the purchasing and servicing everything at popular Bajaj Bannerghatta road branch ,head office .
Last week I took my bike to auto assembly ( different branch of Bajaj) and they told me the air filter was clogged and needs to be changed . They changed and now I am getting 30 KMPL ( reserve to reserve ) and all problems have been sorted out .
I would like to take action on popular Bajaj for misleading me and screwing up on the bike so many times what should I do ? I complained to the regional manager for service but they are least bothered and rude even.
And also is 30KMPL the max mileage I'll get out of this bike ?( Reserve to reserve check) or should I try a different method of checking for mileage ? One Bajaj service centre told me to fill up my tank full to the brim and ride it till there no petrol left and another Bajaj centre suggested I do reserve to reserve check but put 3 liters and check.any suggestions on best way to check for mileage ?
