regarding Pulsar 135 LS

    regarding Pulsar 135 LS

    Hi Fellow Bikers,

    I am Krishna from Hyderabad, new to this community.

    I have been going through the threads. I should say, you guys are doing a hell of a job by helping others and teaching tips etc.. Congratulations for this awesome community.

    I can drive bike but i hardly has not idea about bike related terms. So, i thought of putting my questions here. So, someone, will help me.

    1. I Own a Pulsar 135 LS 2010, recently my battery is dead,So, I would like to buy new one. Can any one suggest me a Good Battery which last a bit long than the stock.
    2. I want to put blue led lights under the back seat, can i do it myself. If yes, can someone direct me a thread or a video link to learn.
    3. I want to have some sport bike sound, can I achieve with any filter/exhaust or any DIY at home? Also, if i change this, do i have to sacrifice mileage? Because, the mechanic told so.
    4. Can i have some kind of Mask for the front head light?
    5. can my bike get bar end mirrors?
    6. can i get stickers for the tire rims?

    That's the wish for now. I hope, someone will help me in solving my queries above.

    1. I've heard Amaron has good life. Never used it myself. Usage determines how long batteries last and my batteries last me 3 years/50,000 odd km.
    2. Yes, you can do it yourself. Its fairly simple, I guess YouTube might be able to help. I don't have links handy.
    3. You can put any dabba/daalda exhaust and it will fart. Leave mileage, the engine will die soon.
    4. Local DIY might be able to help.
    5. Yes. Ebay/Amazon
    6. Any sticker shop would do it.
    Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

      3. Oh, i don't know, now, I am scared that engine will die. So, I will stay with this.
      4. I think, i need to find some people who do this kind of stuff.

      also, can you advise, if I can use KTM DUKE 200 Tyre to Pulsar 135Ls?

        You can, but you shouldn't.

        See, the engine isn't powerful enough to lug around a really fat rear tire. Riding dynamics would also be heavily hampered.

        You can fit it, but you'd need the following changes:
        1. New rims (135 rims won't hold Duke's tires)
        2. Swing-arm modifications to make way for the tire.
        3. Chassis modifications to allow mods in #2.
        4. Alteration to plastic bits at the rear of the bike.
        5. Exhaust pipe rerouting due to #2 and #3.

        Do you even think it's worth it?
        Just fit a 110 or 120 section rear tire and you'll be fine.
        Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.
