HH ambition was a commuter purpose bike and HH detuned its engine very highly only for FE.iF u want to increase pick u i ll have to mod engine to great extent and that mod is highly depend on ur budget.K&N and upjet might give u extra performance but not huge or noticeable difference in performance.A proper study of modification on ur bike can only give u satisfactory results.so whats ur budget?.Originally posted by raman sriharsha View Posthi everyone,,

C_sbk bro is right. It's a Commuter oriented vehicle, and engine is more suitable for city driving, than high revving ...
The 2 practical SIMPLEST steps you can do yourself, are:-->
1. Get a good, expert tested exhaust from a reputed source, like KRP, etc. They have one which is meant for 150cc+ bikes, and it increases performance, of the whole powerband... Bad thing is that it costs 5000+... You can get others too ...
2. Replace the front sprocket (gearbox) with the one from Hunk/ CBZ Xtreme, which should have 14 teeth. Remember, whole gearing will be affected, & you'll lose out on Top Speed & Mileage, but acceleration will increase! & you can change anytime...
K&N and suitable carb jets will help you gain maybe 1-2 bhp but find an experienced mechanic first. The right size of jet, in accordance with the existing climate conditions, etc. are an important factor. A wrong machanic might cause more damage than good...
and of course, do mention your budget as c_sbk said above ...---

if a lot of bump up in the power is what you are looking at, the Ambition's engine block comes straight from the CBZ & Karizma (it is a modular engine block from Honda) and hence you can get CBZ's engine parts for your Ambition. Consult your HH mechanic for what parts need a change.
These three bikes have many things in common and for some things though the configuration is different the mount points are common so that too helps in the process.

wil ny other borepiston(lik of cbz*) wil fit into ambition if adjusted...i stay in hostel and at a place where der r no proper mechanics..dis summer i wil b takig it to bhubaneswar fr wrking out on it...sigpic

^ You can call me "bro" ...
Sorry I made a mistake. I thought it was Achiever (which has 15 teeth stock) ...
Actually, Ambition has 14 teeth in front & 38 at rear ... & a 116 links chain.
To increase acceleration, Front sprocket teeth should be less, OR rear should be more. you need a 13 teeth front sprocket, OR a 40 teeth rear sprocket ...
If you go beyond this, gearing would be badly affected ... like top speed/ mileage might suffer a lot.
Now, from HH, only Karizma has a 40 tooth rear sprocket ... You would have to confirm yourself whether it fits Ambition or not... Take a helpful mechanic's help from HH showroom.

in ur budget i suggest u to do onkly mods like K&N and upjet, iridium plug,hi-tension spark cord and do sprocketing at rear sprocket -increase only 2-3 teeth as required.
ambition was 135 cc bike and shares many parts with older CBZ but there is huge difference in gearing and ambitions gearing is on taller side then CBZ.there is the possibility of putting bore piston of cbz but gearing, head port timing and piston connecting rod need serious modification so in my opinion do only that mod which is in ur budget and don't need any serious mechanical job.Originally posted by HydBiker View Postif a lot of bump up in the power is what you are looking at, the Ambition's engine block comes straight from the CBZ & Karizma (it is a modular engine block from Honda) and hence you can get CBZ's engine parts for your Ambition. have u changed the jet of the carb with a size bigger than the stock one?? the loss in mileage is due to the overall shorter gearing now dat u have changed to a bigger sprocket and coz of a bigger sprocket, the torque at the rear wheel has increased and that's why u can pull wheelies easily..u wud lose on top speed and mileage now..
Also which bike did u take the 42 teeth sprocket from???Unicorn?Last edited by shubhanker; 06-23-2009, 05:50 PM.If U haven't Seen GOD, U haven't gone fast enough
