Dude something must be wrong with your bike ,even on hardcore ripping it never gives me below 39kmpl .get it tuned and serviced from a good mech.

coming to your ques. for 5000 bucks you can get many things .

1 option)free flow exhaust for 4500 plus Iridium Spark plugs .will give a nice power boost and sound will also improve . downside is that if the freeflow is poorly designed it will harm ur engine and will also sound like some scooter .

2 option) buy KnN filter and also upjet ur bike . cost rs 2000 , plus buy iridium plugs and spitfire cables for 1600 .

dude let me be very clear to you in this....

first the kinda milage you're gettin indicates a badly tuned bike tht's makin u think to go for the performance upgrades......

1.Iridium plug is NOT A PERFORMANCE BOOSTER all it does is givin out a more good spark while withstanding more heat.....tht's it.

2.Spitfire cables provides more boost in current not in performance...

3.K&N filter wont be giving you any boost in power unless and untill you opt for bigger jets or a bigger carb.....K&N alone wont even give you 5% increase in power....and playing with the carb setting, jets and all along with the K&N is completely a GURU's job and optimum performance will come after several trial and error's...

4.Various ready made end cans availabe in the markets or grey markets only give you boost in the sound of the bike and not in the power unless and until it is being made by a professional according to the tuned engine..(tht is after all the K&N and jetting thing done)....

for all this you need to shell out more than 10 grand and all you'll be havin is 5-10% increase in power.....

my advise is wait, collect money and buy a higher capicity bike if the RTR is not giving you chill in the bone....

Iridium Plugs + Spitfire cables sure give a Crisper throttle response!

Also the plugs last longer and the performance loss on a long run under extreme heat is lesser than with conventional plugs.
When everything comes ur way, u r in the wrong way ;)

                ok.....
but no increase in performance which the point is here....

A better throttle response means a quicker bike off the block in my books

                      rtr 160

Ciao, usually opening completely or even partially ( more you open more you gain) the exhaust, on four stroke, means more HP, but even more noise. The real think is that now days all the bikes are controlled by micro-chips and intervene on it plus the consequent mechanical work is the way to gain power.

A free flow exhaust just makes the scavenging job of the engine much easier and a pure charge gives slightly more power. And which Indian bike are you talking about?

No Indian bike has micro controllers to regulate the lift of the valves, as far as i know, no production bike in the world has electronically regulated valve lift controls!

If some of you do know of such a bike, please enlighten me......
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

                          rtr modification

dude the best thing i can say is that u need to sell this bike to some bakra asap and buy a new fast bike or alter the engine completely with the help of some nice tuner..there is something seriously wrong with it 35kmpl was my old rtrs mileage...it was resleeved to 225, a highlift cam, an rx 135s rejetted carb, a custom exaust and a shortshifter..she used to do 130 so quickly i have necer time but i have screwed like almost all the bikes a i had dragged wit only lost to an rxz fully ported...
