  • Need help with Mangnetic Tank bag for ZMA

    Hello guys

Could someone give me reviews of Cramster Turtle - Magnetic Tankbag

1.Will it fit on ZMA properly
2.Does the magnet affect colour on the tank or does it damage the tank in any way
3.Does it hold/stick while doing high speeds.
4.How is the build quality and overall carrying capacity.
    5.Is it really waterproof.

    Thank you

      It fits just fine.

Continued use will result in scratches on the area where the magnets make contact with the tank - this is worsened by dust on the tank and on the 'flippers'.

For regular use, you could try sticking some clear plastic stickers on the area where the flippers make contact.

The bag itself is roomy and can take a lot of stuff, but it is advisable not to load it with heavy items - put bulky stuff in here, along with a camera. The 'map' sleeve is useful - if you're going to an area where you'd need a map.

        Thanks

I will only use the Bag for touring.

I am thinking of keeping a cloth between the bag and the tank

will this help in preventing scratches on the tank

It does make scratches but if you use the cloth then no problems at all.

3.Does it hold/stick while doing high speeds.
I've gone upto speeds of 120 kmph or more and had no issues with it.

4.How is the build quality and overall carrying capacity.
More than enough. You can keep your camera in there along with some clothes and other accessories that you might need in a jiffy.

          5.Is it really waterproof.
You get a cover which is attached to the bag itself. It wont fly off as it has an elastic lining.
Answers in bold. While you are not exactly spoilt for choice, this is a VFM product. Go ahead and buy it.

I am very happy for the Turtle. Go ahead and buy it. Just clean the tank when you fix the magnets, so that it will not give scratches.

              Thank you guys

I think with a little care taken while mounting and removing the bag i should be able to avoid scratches on my tank

You are right, but with repeated use, you may get some very superficial scratches which can be take care with rubbing compound.

use the scotch tape on the tank to avoid the scratches.
