  • [kolkata] I want a custom rear fender made

As you can see in the image the rear fender for Ducati Supersport is absolutely useless when in comes to riding in the rain, and in India its not just rainwater in the monsoon, its mud, cow dung and god knows what else. And since this bike is my daily commuter I wanted something practical, looks isn't a priority.

I know kolkata's bike modification hub is in Wellington market but if anyone knows any specific shop's name that might be able to do such a thing (weld and cut complex metal pieces, grind and paint it) it'd be of great help.

Original Rear Fender. It does nothing, not even the default purpose of saving the rear cylinder from mud, let alone the rider.

Proposed rear fender (red is the fender, while green dots are the screws.) Don't judge my photoshop skills here XD

    Topic Approved.

As for direct fits, I don't think such fenders exist because they will look massively ugly on this bike.
Some exist in Bajaj bikes but they won't even fit, given that giant tyre.

KTM bikes do come with a monoshock cover made of plastic, that's very minimalistic and may help a lot if you can somehow fit it... I'm talking about this black plastic part in the image below:-

Secondly, you may go for a full monoshock cover... That's easily cleanable if needed, looks like this:-

If all this is not giving you ideas, then...

You can get made a Custom one from engineering shops, but it will most probably be metal. They have all sorts of tools, grind, lathe, cut, welding, etc... so you can get made, exactly what you can imagine. You might have to use a thin tin sheet or so, as its base material.

I'm still not sure how it will turn out... in fact, I doubt it will look acceptable.

I actually want to save myself and pillion from splashes as much as the bike itself. Mud gets everywhere, face, head, back, arms. Its absolutely terrible. I don't care about the look as long as I can enjoy the power of this two wheeled monster in all weather.

        Update

Saw a bike modification company's ad on FB called trent trading corp. They said they will do it. Paid in advance now waiting for them to make the moulding. Will update once done.
