  • Cb Shine - TVS Victor - seat modification (to lower height)

    Hi All,

Need some help with regard to seat height adjustment. I am planning to buy Cb Shine or TVS Victor, I can tip toe on both the bikes and can put one leg fully down. Height is 5ft 3in. How much of seat cushion can I remove without losing much of comfort? Can I remove around 2 cms of cushion on any of the bikes? My daily total ride distance will be around 20kms with a pillion rider.

    Thanks.

Bike seat modification - TVS Victor/ CB Shine

    Hi All,

I am planning to buy TVS Victor or CB Shine. Will be riding with a pillion most of the time.
Height is 5ft 3in, I can touch the ground on both sides with balls of my feet, and can balance on one leg fully with other on brake. I want to modify the seat, to lower it a bit. Any idea on how much I can shave off the seat cushion on TVS Victor or CB Shine? Depending on that will buy the bike.

    Thanks.

      Topic Approved.

If you're not looking at losing cushion, then you may choose lower profile tyres for your bike. But choose those meant for smaller rims.
The lower tyres help instantly, without any risk at all!

Other ways are, to modify your existing seat. Multiple approaches can be used. A simple home based method is to tighten the seat's front portion (the rider's seat), using a circulating tape or so.
It will definitely harm your cushion, keep in mind this.

Try fitting seats from other bikes too, if they fit.

On a personal edge, you may try keeping shoes with fatter soles, that will help a little bit.

Or you may choose a different bike itself. You may choose Honda Navi, or Bajaj Avenger to help with the seat height..

Go for a test ride with bike set on lowest suspension setting.
After that do what Samarth has suggested.
Include Street 180 in your test ride being an Avenger rider I can tell if you can get use to Cruiser biking .You will be happy with Avy.
