  • Ideal RPM and Speed to maintain for shifting gears in FZ25 in city traffic (Hyderabad)

Hello Friends, bought fz25, 2 weeks back.Though i enjoyed the test ride of this bike, in smooth shifting of gears, pick up. i cant yet see the power of my new bike, rode 350km.. may be i am not a good rider yet. how do you yield the power of FZ 25 with smooth shifting of gears. I feel very strained in picking up in 1st and 2nd gears. the punchy exhaust also not there.
what are the maintenance tips before first service? what are some early signs of warnings before first service.
need tips and advice in maintaining and riding the bike to get the fun out of the bike. Thanks.

      Hello mate,
I also own a FZ25 and more than looking for the signs it's better to get the first service done after 1000kms. The peak torque for the bike is at 6000 rpm so majority of the fun kicks in there. You are still in the run in period of so won't advice you to pull the engine much before the first service. As far as the pick up is concerned, you'll slowly get a hang of it after the 1k is clocked.

Just get used to it driving it slowly. This helps in you getting to know your bike and in city. As you get used to it, you will feel comfortable increasing the speed. If you are a new rider, take it easy.
