Hello ,

My name is Akshay and I am planning for a ride to Leh in September, 2018 . As its my first long ride (Earlier solo done to Kanatal and Joshimath) and with a pillion which is my wife so I need some detailed suggestions on some of my queries :-

1. Which route I should take better for safety concern ? Do the tents which used to come there for seasons only stay till Oct mid (I might go in Sept end) and which are best no. for days to plan as I don't want much off roading routes (because of a pillion)?

2. We also have a group going which has 30 no of bikes , they are charging around 40k for 12N/13D which will include a back up vehicle , 2 meals , stay ,medical and mechanic facility also . Is this is best option for me to join as its going out of my budget or I can do on my own with 2-3 of more bikers with me?

3. If I plan to ride with second option due to budget issues , What are the preparation I should must do before going like booking etc for avoiding sudden issues for a couple .I have heard people there do charge anything for couples and its not safe for couples in some locations?

4. Any other suggestion if anybody wants to give is most welcome , I am very concerned about Safety (As my wife is with me), comfort (she has cervical issues) and if anything I forgot to discuss you can suggest.

5. If anybody had already done Leh-Ladakh as a couple can share your contact info or can give detailed suggestions about itinerary and other things.
