  • Avenger 200 switches on the first low raise :(

having this problem since i gave my new avenger for the first free service

when ever i low raise accelerator (not to high just enough to chance the engine grunt) the engine switches off this happens even i when i start the bike for the first time in the morning.have the same problem when i am stuck in traffic & when i need to move inch by inch

its NOT the problem with the bike idling since engine remains on even for 10 mins

i took to local mechanic (did not allow him to touch the bike) says its the problem with the air filter, says needs to be removed & checked

i dont want to do anything hasty so need your advice

Yes the mechanic is right ... its a problem with the Air Filter or else you would have blocked the Snorkel ..... behind your seats with some stuff....
      Have a check on it...

This usually happens if the Air intake to the Engine is Blocked....

Not a big problem Arvind, just go back to Bajaj&ask them to clean the air filter as well as check the tuning properly next time they service the vehicle!
          Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Spot on!! It is the air filter, because it is clogged. Same happened with my pulsar and it was the air filter at fault.
When everything comes ur way, u r in the wrong way ;)

Sined ur bike is still under Pro-Biking Warranty.....u can get it done with BAJAJ Itself.....
But as everyone knows Probiking showrooms will always be Full....
I would strongly recommend u to go to Bajaj - if u dont trust the local mechanic....its all about trusting....thats it....
