    Hello bhpians , today my wife accidentally cranked my maestro edge engine while engine is running for 2 seconds and a grinding noice like kirrrr comes from crank case is it serious problem to consider it only happens once,should i visit hero service centre i lost all my peace of mind please help me what to do now.

    Topic Approved.

    Some scooters and motorcycles have this situation whereby the engine cranks again, if the starter is pressed, even if the engine is started.
    Others do not face this, due to different eletronics.

    But, there's no such problem that arises due to it. The sound is just of the electric starter motor, and this will not damage the engine in any way.

    Relax and don't worry about it. If you see a genuine problem, let us know...

        There is no problem to the engine whatsoever from that. You dont need to worry anything about it. Repeated such abuse can reduce the electric starters life that's all.
        There are no short-cuts to any place worth going. So ride safe when you are treading uncharted roads.

          My grandfather once rode his hero honda pleasure for 2 hours with the self button stuck pressed in.. didnt damage the engine but the motor didnt survive..😂
