My bike wont start without choke..

    My bike wont start without choke..

    I have an FZ S 2014 model. 45k kms done.

    Now, since a few weeks, when the engine is cold and I start the bike, it starts and the rpm fluctuates and then the engine dies with a sound like the piston hit something. And then it won't start until I give the choke. But once the engine warms up it will start even if I tap the self switch. The engine also sounds different to me. I went to the service center and they were not telling me anything. The guy just told me to leave the bike and that they will call me. So I decided not to leave the bike there.

    Does anyone have any idea whats going on?

        Just put on a handle bar cover and it might solve the problem to some extent. Some water goes into the starter system giving you troubles starting the bike.

          What is the status of consumables?

          What does your SP reading say?

          Does your RPM float when the motorcycle is very hot?

          My best guess is that you're running lean due to a leak.

            I dont understand status of consumables and "SP"(i am new to this forum[emoji3] ).. RPM fluctuates when engine is cold.. once it heats up.. its fine..

              Consumables: Things that need to be changed timely eg Air Filter, Control Cables etc.

              SP: Spark Plug.

              Do inspect your Spark Plug to get a better idea of what could be up with the motorcycle.

                Gave it to a another service centre and they said the sound is from my valves that are fully adjusted and needs to be replaced and the starting issue was because of old spark plug..
                I gave my bike to the service center to replace the valves..
