  • RD350 Carburetor oxidisation

    Hello Guys

I didn't use my RD 350 for 3-4 years and after opening carbs i found white liquid.

I tried cleaning the carbs but no luck.

I am trying to look for a replacement Mikuni VM28 carburetor. Need some help in procuring carburetor.

    Thanks for your help.

Soak the carbs in brake fluid for 4 to 5 hrs and take them to a Diesel injector service center, equipped with an Ultrasound cleaner. its the best way to clean your RD carbs.

        Hi frankpilli,

Thanks. I have already tried cleaning the carbs and soaked them for 24 hours and cleaned them with petrol/carb cleaner.
I asked for a quote on vapor blasting and it was $105 plus shipping $100+ So its better to buy a new carb than spend $200.

Do you know any reliable guy from whom I can purchase carbs.
Can Keystar carburetor repair kit help in some way?

        Cheers,
