  • Help!! suggesting for KTM Duke 200

    Hello guys

I am an owner of KTM Duke 200. I want to change the engine oil. The current one in the engine is provided by the service centre. Please suggest some good oil brands and grades.

IIRC KTM uses motul 7100 which is excellent oil itself. You may try shell advance ultra FS oil for a change.
There is no destination, I just want to keep riding.

      Honda CBR 650F / CBR 250R ABS Repsol (Sold) / Yamaha FZ-S

The oil used in the service center is Motul. Correct ?
That oil is a fully synthetic oil and recommended grade.

You can stick with it unless you have a different requirement apart from regular bikes usage.

Use Motul 7100 20W50. You can definitly notice improved performance, reduced vibrations, smoother gear shifts and clutch operations. The bike feels quick to accelerate and significantly smooth at higher RPMs. It is a bit expensive but worth the price. I generally buy it from Amazon as I get it at a discount. You can get it in a shop or directly in the service center aswell but they sell at the MRP.

I usually buy off from Amazon and ask the service center guy to change the oil in front of me. You can surely feel the difference after a couple of hundred kilometers.

But AFAIK, KTM service centers use either Bajaj DTS-i 10,000 or Motul 7100 20W50 as per manufacture recommendation. If your service center is user 7100 and you are still not satisfied, try using Motul 300V. Expensive option but have heard it is good.

My dealer uses the Motul 7100 itself. And will surely give a try to the 300V. It is a bit costly for my Regular usage but will surely stick to it if satisfied with results.
