And will the Brake oils + fork oils be changed if the bike is given to general servicing at the same svc as the bike was given to repair all the stuff & finally a general periodic service.

Thanks.
Yeah generally brake oils will be changed by ASC during regular service intervals but the bike was not used for more than Six months !! (But in your invoice it's nothing mentioned about brake oils).

*So it's better to change it .

You can buy a 500ml brake fluid and fill it then keep it yourself for the next use.

Generally brake oils /fluids are top ups but if the color of the oil is too dark or there is decrease in quantity (means it should be replaced) .

User manual describes about to change the brake oils at 25000 kms !!!

Ill get the bike sometime next week. and i need to buy a helmet. i thought to buy a decent one which has ECE, DOT cert around 3500-5500 INR. But i came across the news of non ISI helmets ban by govt. Until the news gets clear on Imported helmets, i my buy one which has ISI & DOT.

Hey @Aswinlogi & ashwinprakas. I went and took a ride today. The bike felt good. I felt like a lil vibration in 5000-6000 rpm rev range. I might be wrong about vibration tho. Is that normal considering most of the engine parts are new? (Although i like i did not get the clutch setting to make the bike move. Stopped the engine atleast 4 times. Any tip for the rpm range i should slowly release the clutch. When i rode gixxer i started slowly releasing the clutch in 1500-2000rpm range. i did not get the range which i should start releasing the clutch for 200ns. As i said earlier, Im new to bike riding. My only prob is to get the bike moving from a complete halt like starting the bike for the first time/at a traffic signal or a U turn in 1st gear).

I went and spoke to the guys at SVC. They said almost everything inside the engine had to be replaced. the battery is new. we did not require a replacement for the carburetor. We just had to replace the valves inside the carburetor. They did an engine overhaul, worked on cooling/coolant related parts, battery replaced, general service(which has the lubrication charged included in it. That's y there is no separate entry for fork oil on bill). The exhaust note sounded fine. It did not feel stressed even when i took it to 7000+rpm during the exhaust note test.

I felt the back brake felt a bit spongy maybe. Is that how rear disc brakes are supposed to be(lesser bite than the front)?. But the front had really good bite.

They said they changed the fork oil as it was leaking a bit when they got the bike for repair. They said they have replaced the Fork Oil. Forgot to ask about brake oil tho.
No oil leaks anywhere.

So im getting it for 45k.

2013 model 2012 manufactured. 30575kms(It was 30574. I test drove it for 1km).

Thanks.

Technically you upshift at the RPM where the motor makes peak torque, ideally you use commonsense, so until you get a knack for it it's better to rev a litter more than required before upshifting as doing the opposite does more harm.

It's a single cylinder motorcycle, vibration will always be there, you just adapt to them.

Clutch/Throttle free play should be set as per owners manual recommendations, do not customise them for your preference as that may induce premature wear and tear of components.

You're getting the motorcycle from a very good price. As soon as you get the motorcycle change all consumables that were not already changed during the recent rebuild. I'd suggest you DIY it as no mechanic in the world can work as well as a well educated enthusiast.

Cheers and Ride Safe.

Yeah maybe you are new to geared bike ,hence you tend to be mis -clutching.

Don't worry after few days of riding you will get adjusted to it.

*Just try to engage clutch and do the correct gear upshifts with practice.

*As engine parts , bore kit and all assembly were replaced don't rash drive or go for triple digits at least for few weeks .

*NVH (Noise , vibrations, Harshness) will get reduce noticeably.

And the vibrations will be reduced if you change to the MOTUL oil I hope. There is no need to worry as there is no warranty exist .

If possible change the engine oil next month and you will feel much reduced vibrations.

( We can't expect the refinement levels of Yamaha,Honda in Bajaj anyhow wait few days , your new beast will be better accordingly).

As aswinprakas said DIY some basic stuff.
You can gain some basic knowledge from YouTube.

Cheers,
Happy riding.

Re: Maintenance for a used bike.

Hi @Aswinlogi & @ashwinprakas.
Aswinlogi - sorry for not replying for long bro. Yes, i got my bike. Its good. Im getting a good 40 average as im riding sanely in less traffic times.

Everything's great. But i noticed 3 things:
1. Horn sound is very less. Planning to get a higher volume one,
2. Headlight being Halogen is really less luminous for my visibility. Planning to swap it with an LED.
3. This i noticed recently, when im riding in the 3000-4000 RPM range no matter which gear im in the bike jerks like when there is no petrol and we ride on choke(like the bike is hesitantly moving) no idea what it is. Can anyone share some light on the same? As there was an Indian Oil petrol bunk near the seller's house, i assumed that he used the same petrol bunk for filling up I also fueled up there. I got a good average. I noticed this problem(which im referring to as RPM drop) after i fueled up in a Indian Oil petrol bunk near my house. Is this a problem of engine or petrol or something else?

Rest all is fine. Need some cosmetic changes though(like Horn, Headlight, Pulsar Logo, Seat cover, Left mirror, etc, etc).

Hoping for a quick reply.

Thanks.

Yeah everything is fine

Reg. Horn you can fit any hella one the famous car (skoda horn for bikes) is around 650 bucks and many tones also available @different costs !

Link : https://m.snapdeal.com/product/hella...rns/1756058088

LED LIGHTS :

Yeah stock bulbs probably gives less light illumination !! Especially at night !!

Try Philips or osram night breaker they are bang for the bucks !!!
(will last at least couple of years)

LED lights aren't much good because it produces more glare to others Generally (opposite driving people)

*It's pure whitelight hence won't be great during night rides as our roads are filled with yellow street lights ! (The yellow light+white light mix up and hence the light beam intensity would be less !!)

But it's up to you on installing the LED .

*There are even LED projectors but over modifying will attract cops!

REG. RPM drop ,yeah I too had noticed that thing in one of my friends RS200 .

IDK actually what's the problem but low fuel may be a cause sometimes and If the carb/ FI is dirty that too also could be a reason !!

*It might be caused if the clutch cable is not properly fitted/ old !

What engine oil did you use?

(Take it to the Mechanic who worked for you )

Hope this helps,
Cheers
Ride safe!!

Hope this helps,
Cheers
Ride safe!!
Yeah ill check those lights u suggested and the horn as well.
I am pretty sure that he used the Bajaj recommended grade oil by Bajaj itself DTSi 10000 20W50.
Need to take the bike to him but Dusshera holidays for them.
I fuelled 3.5L of petrol today mrng, i still faced RPM Drop twice which is waaaayyy less than it happened the other day.

Will take that to him tomorrow if the SVC doesnt have a holiday on Sunday.

And btw due to rains i skid and fell from the bike. and i noticed this RPM drop like 3 days before i fell. Should i tell the mechanic that i fell. Will he try to push the RPM drop issue onto me citing my fall as the reason?
Nothing major tho, i was on 10-12 speed - leg guard on right side broke as bike fell onto its right side. lil scratches on dome.
What should i check in respect to after my fall what all things i should check?

Thanks.

Don't trust ASC !! I too experienced and find the truth that ASC are just craps!!!

IDK about other companies but in general BAJAJ,TVS,HONDA ,HERO are totally zero !!

They won't care anything, anymore once the bike has sold !
*For the namesake they will do service or whatever !

THEN RELY ON WHOM ?

yeah, find a mechanic who's capable of and got at least 8- 10 yrs of experience !
Probably guys like him don't loot money ,they are dedicated , people trust them !! You can simply see (but not all experienced are good BTW , most of them are money looters !)

*Just find a such one and befriend him ,then no worries !!

You'd said you did crashed your bumper ,yeah don't apply brakes harder during rainy days !

*Use gentle pressure on your front disc (probably 1 or 2 finger gently enough)

*Don't rely on rear brakes ,they can skid /lock up the rear wheel even on dry roads (then think about wet roads !!)

REG. RPM fall , describe that to mechanic who serviced and ask him to sort that issue out!

You fell down at low speeds hence the bike shouldn't have any damages. (Don't say to him about this)

*You can get your bumper fixed by any welder (just empty your fuel tank and ask him to weld at the cracked joint)

Drive with helmets atleast!!

Hope you are fine ,
Ride safe!!
