  • KTM RC 200 front disc issue

Front disc of my KTM RC 200 is heating up while riding. I tried to rotate the wheel and found that the wheel is not moving freely. The movement of the wheel is hindered (by the disc pads).

Please provide me with a solution to this problem.

    Thanks in advance.

First of all you need to make sure how hot the discs get. Ride for half kilometer (high speeds if possible) without using the front brake, then stop and pour water on the discs, did it boil and evaporate? If yes then it is a problem.

All sports bikes above 150cc have this condition where the disc pads are ALWAYS touching the discs LIGHTLY while riding. It is not a problem usually, but if the discs get intense hot without even applying the front brakes (so much so that the water instantly evaporates) THEN it means there is too little clearance for the disc pads and it needs to be adjusted.
