          atleat u have the filter resting on the stock air filter...i lost mine while testing it witth one of my frnd's bike...

          and i don't think u should be cleaning ur k&n using compressered air...
          k&n mentioned why the filer would get damaged if u use air to clean it..chk the site...

              @all^^ thnx

              funny but....i asked my momfor help regaurding this as she knows everything bout engines[Mom know best]....she teaches it to mech enggineers....she said engines r provided with air filters because dust nd spm can enter thru open intakes nd clog the carb, engine valves nd may even settle in the cyllinder that results in incomplete burning of fuel......now....i rode almost 30 kms with an open air intake....i dont know how much dust has enterd the carb or engine...so wat do i do to clean the carb nd engine....

                ^ The carb can be cleaned by manually dismantling it.

                Flush the engine once to clean its internals.

                    Very true but shouldn't harm too much bcz it has happened first time i believe. Get the carb cleaned n fit back K&N.

                    Use K&N recharger to clean it. Not with air

                        I think the 25-30km has had an effect on ur scooty
                        Change ur engine oil in some local workshop, Get the curb clean ASAP and never try to clean ur air filter by air compressor/cleaner, take it out, wash it with petrol thats the best way of cleaning(i clean my P150 UGII air filter that way my Bajaj mech told me so)

                        If the problem continues and u feel that the ur scooty is dragging a bit then check ur gearbox assembly( may be the dust particles has entered and mixed with ur engine oil and harmed ur gear box, cluth plates also)

                        Best of luck and hope this never happens again
