I own a SOL Alpha SF5 helmet. I have been using it for around 6 months and from the day I bought it, I have a headache while using it. I feel like the shell is pressing so hard on to my skull that I can't even ride for more than 40 minutes in a single stretch. While checking the pad size the shop owner told me its correct but I don't feel the comfort during my rides. Can someone help me out please?

Re: Sol Alpha sf5 issue
It's time to sell it. It probably isn't the correct size or shape for your head.Originally posted by wandering_thumper View PostHi guys,

What is your head size in cm and the size of the helmet?Originally posted by wandering_thumper View PostBut its just 5months now brother...will it help if i change the paddings
Then again, if the shell shape doesn't suit your head, no point trying anything. Trust me, I had the same experience with a HJC CL17.
I wore it for 35 minutes in the store without any discomfort, but once I started going for longer rides, I started getting headaches. It was definitely not the weight.Last edited by Shashank K R; 10-24-2018, 02:57 PM.

Re: Sol Alpha sf5 issue
You can try but Shashank has mentioned a very important point. Is it the right shape for your head? If it is not then no amount of padding change would help.Originally posted by wandering_thumper View PostBut its just 5months now brother...will it help if i change the paddings

Re: Sol Alpha sf5 issue
It also depends on how much time you have worn it. It should set with regular use, if it hasn't, well, there's not much you can do about it.Originally posted by wandering_thumper View PostMy size is 58 and the size of pad too is 57-58,the seller told me like it will take time to take the shape of your head...but till now no difference

So how much time do you spend wearing helmet?
I'm using SOL Unicorn II 68s since 4 years now. haven't changed padding till date.
I would say spend more time wearing helmet. If you feel headache then open visor and breath some air. it'll reduce the stress caused by tight cheek pads. Yes I also feel headaches sometimes but ti lasts only for seconds. try adjust your helmet around your head by rotating up and down and left - right.
once you get use to the cheek pads there wont be any head aches."The Answer, My Friend,

Re: Sol Alpha sf5 issue
My cheek pads are ok brother but only the head portion is a bit problem. If it was just a small pain i would leave it but I feel like the shell is pressing on to my head because only two parts of the head are paining,i thought it was because of padding but when the shop owner checked both where the same size 58.Originally posted by saorabbh View PostSo how much time do you spend wearing helmet?
