    Suzuki Gixxer Sf Engine oil recommendations

    Motul is the best engine oil making company. There are also lots of good reviews about Motul engine oil in the internet.

    So I have used Motul 7100 4T 10W50 API SN Fully synthetic in Suzuki Gixxer SF.

    As per my experience I found following things by using this Oil:-

    1. Engine heating issue reduced on long runs.
    2. Engine sound has changed little bit I mean I felt some harshness.
    3. After changing the oil after 3000 kms run I found the engine oil became black.

    Thereafter I stopped using Motul on Suzuki Gixxer SF and I am only using Suzuki service centre oil.

    Please share your experience and guide me to choose best engine oil for my Suzuki Gixxer SF.

      Even Suzuki's fully synthetic oil lasts upto 3 months only or 4000 kms same like their semi synthetic oil.

        -> Maybe due to the different grade

        2. Engine sound has changed little bit I mean I felt some harshness.
        -> Motul 7100 usually causes slight harshness/coarseness. Completely normal.

        3. After changing the oil after 3000 kms run I found the engine oil became black.
        -> This means it's working. Engine oil is supposed to clean the internals other than its usual functions.

        You can use ecstar semi synth or Motul by Suzuki (if you can find it at a SVC). Good enough for the Gixxer, no need to spend a lot on oil for this engine.

        There's also shell ax7 which is fine.

          For Suzuki Gixxer you will require engine oil with specification of 10W40 one litre oil. For this graded oil you can go for popular brands like Castrol, mobil1, motul, shell, divyol and many other brands. The mention oil would surely improve your ride performance and improve the mileage.

            Go with ECSTAR 10W40 R5000 @ INR 335)+ 3m Engine Oil Additive @ 135 INR (3M Engine oil additive is available @ Suzuki dealer service station).

            Or you may mix 3x 10W40 mineral ECSTAR R5000 +1x ECSTAR R9000 fully synthetic (Ratio : 3:1 or 4:1 if you have big container for oil) + 3M engine oil additive..

            I have been using 3M together with Suzuki's branded oil (mixture synthetic+ mineral) and it is giving good result.

            Do spend for Mineral oil, Semi-Synthetic or Mixture of both synthetic and Mineral.

            Fully synthetic gives high rev, smooth acceleration, good pick up , we generally go with rush drive and ultimately drop down bike's mileage...

            Use same oil brand , do not change oil brand frequently...

                Engine oil is supposed to turn black. It will turn brownish even after just 500kms. If yours is 155cc you should just use semi synthetic, fully synthetic will not feel that much different in small capacity bike. Try Shell Ax7 or Shell Advance Ultra if youre adamant on using FS. just be careful not to use Shell Helix, its a car engine oil.

                  I had been using Motul 7100 4T 10w50 for my Suzuki Gixxer after 1 year & 15k on oddo.
                  Currently running at 37k with regular oil intervals at 4.5k and believe me its butter smooth feels relax at 60-65kmph.
