• Advice Needed

    Hello All,

My RE Bullet’s (2000 model) registration expired in 2015 during the time I was out of India. I have been trying for the last two years to renew it but due to the frequent policy shifts regarding vehicles older than 15 years (I am based in Delhi) I have not been able to.

I am getting various advice on what I can and can’t do (A few samples - “there’s nothing to be done but scrapping”, “change the chassis and engine and re-apply”, “take it to another state" etc.). I would appreciate if anyone could give an idea of my options in this scenario as I am very attached to this bike and want to restore it (it needs some repair; not been ridden in the last two years) and start riding again.

    Thank you.

A - get it registered in some other state

B - sell it and get something new.

Zapps Thank you for your reply. For option A it seems like I would need a NOC, which is not being issued currently. Option B - I think this will be hard since no one would buy it with these issues (it can't possibly be ridden legally given he current state of paperwork).

Re: Bullet with Expired Registration: Advice Needed

Well legally with the complexity in around this.. I don’t think there is any other option then to scrap it.. paperwork will not be proper for the same and riding this bike without paperwork not advisable at all. Moreover with current situation of Delhi something other will keep coming around this.. but I wonder how people maintain the vintage vehicles in this case...
