  • Oil Leakage from Engine Head & Engine Oil finished in 1 month. Honda Shine 125CC

    Hi guyz,

I am having troouble with my Honda Shine 125cc, today I have noticed the seepage of oil from engine head in my bike, when i checked the engine oil level in the bike, it is showing a negligble level of oil, I have replaced the engine oil on 06-Oct-2018 and vehicle current reading is 38000 Km. daily running is about 20 Kms.

Bike never had any white smoke in the past. Please help what should be the possible reasons and the do's and don'ts for the repairing.

      Sufficient info not provided.
Also this line is not clear:- Bike never had any white smoke in the past. Does it mean its smoking now, or its not?

You could replace the gaskets of the Engine head by a qualified mechanic, no need to remove the crankcase or rest of the engine. This should help repair the leakage, unless there's a physical damage...
Just be sure to use original parts! This is very important. Check holograms and get invoice and all.

If this doesn't solve the problem, maybe the oil is leaking into the combustion chamber, in which case a change of piston rings or an engine overhaul may be required... However, this seems unlikely as the oil seems to be leaking from the head itself.

Go for original SVC mechanics only, unless they've been proved to be hopeless in the past....

Like mod said, the info provided is inconvenient.

If your only concern is leaking head gasket, get it replaced and get it lined with sealant during assembling.

Check for the rubber sealant under the bolt from where the oil is removed. Many a times those rubber part gets tear off resulting in leakage of engine oil.
Check the condition of gasket as well as mentioned.
Better do check those above things at your service station
