  • Slow leakage in tire.

Hi, I've put Michelin tubeless tyre in my Super Splendor. For the fast few months, I am noticing that the tyre goes flat in around every 15 days. During installation, the tyre guy changed the original Splendor valve and put a different one. My bike has run 30k kilometres. When inspecting the tyre for puncture, there was no sign of leakage. The tyre valve also seems okay.

What could be the issue? please help!

      Re: Slow leakage in tire.

This could be because of a faulty valve that only leaks under high pressure. You won't be able to identify this by putting the tube under water as there's no way you'll get the tube up to same amount of pressure when its on the bike with you sitting on the bike.

You can fill up the tyre with good pressure. Sit on the bike and ask someone to pour some water mixed with surf on the valve stem.

While changing to tubeless tire, the tire guy changed my original nozzles and put after market nozzles, could this be the issue ?

Can be. The leak must be under pressure. Mix some surf in soap. Pour on the stem and on the entire edge of the rim just to check the rim is OK.
