    Gixxer 155 2018 smoke coming form exhaust

    Hey guys,

    I own a Gixxer 155 2018 model. I purchased this bike in August. Initially everything was fine, except a few problems. I used this bike for my daily commute and Sunday breakfast rides.

    But a few days ago I noticed that when I do 1st ignition of the day, white smoke comes out form my exhaust when I rev my bike little hard. It only happens when I do it in open choke switch. If I close the choke switch, then the white smoke stops in a few seconds, doesn't matter how hard I rev it. But if the choke is open, the white smokes comes out from exhaust only when I rev it and not at idle.

    Please let me know, if it is normal or if something is wrong in my bike. And also please suggest me a good service center of Suzuki in Delhi near Dwarka, because where I go they are very unprofessional people, do a very pathetic job on bike.

      It is normal.

      There are 2 primary reasons for white smoke during cold winter starts.
      1. Condensation buildup in the exhaust.
      2. Cold rings let some oil seep through resulting in oil burn and smoke. Once engine heats enough, they expand optimally and smoke stops.

      Do NOT rev engine early morning. Let the engine idle for a minute prior to setting off. If you have to use choke to start the bike, ensure you don't rev the nuts out of the bike. Engine speed without load will cause harm.
      Get into a habit of warming up the bike daily for a minute and ride the first few kilometers sedately.

          Check whether the air filter is clogged. It is just below the seat. I had the same problem. Changed my air filter and it's fine.
