  • Suzuki Gixxer petrol tank vacuum problem

I have been facing this issue since the time I got the lock of my bike changed . Guess they changed the complete cap.

After some distance of riding, the bike engine starts dying. Looks as if it is not getting the fuel. If I accelerate, it dies instantly. After stopping, if I try to start the bike it won't start. When I open the cap, there is a vacuum sound and then the bike can be turned ON instantly. I have been told that my model being an old one (2015) have been fitted with a cap of new model which does not have a breather hole and in turn the air passes through the cap (which apparently works for short distances only).

Any one facing similar issues and any solutions to this problem?

Your bike is a BS3 model so that models usually breathes from the fuel tank cap. If you have fitted a Tank cap of BS4 model then your bike gets such problem. Also check if the breather pipe got blocked due to dust and dirt
