  • Engine Oil overfilled (RS200)

Hello. I own a Pulsar RS200. I decided to change my engine oil to Motul 7100 Fully Synthetic last week. I gave it to a nearby repair shop. I gave him a 1.5L bottle and when he asked, he told me there was nothing left to be returned. My engine capacity is actually 1.2L. I ignored it. But even after 200-300km, I was not feeling a difference as told by other owners. So I thought of checking the engine oil level and as I expected it is full (above max level). Is this the reason am I not feeling a difference? What should I do?

P.S: I have actually driven like 200km with overfilled state

take out engine oil in a clean container and fill the specified amount.
Engine oil above specified amount can harm your engine because the oil would not be able to circulate properly to the engine.

Please stop whatever you are doing right now, even if you are reading this, go to your bike drain the oil ASAP. You can measure the correct amount and fill the old oil again or just drain exactly around 400-500ml.

As mentioned, overfilled oil will blow past the piston rings due to operating pressure and temperature when there is no space for the excess oil.
