Hi guys, i am posting on behalf of my friend Ramesh.
My CBR 250R was lying idle for a year .. the tank and fuel pump got rusted. Service center quoted about 35k (tank + fuel pump + misc).
I need suggestions on how to go about bringing back my ceeber to life without loosing my kidney in the process.

My own assessment based on the explanation that the service center gave was that just replacing the rusted motor of the fuel pump and cleaning the tank would suffice. The service center folks showed me the fuel pump. I got in touch with a spare parts dealer in delhi who said he can get me the motor for about 3k. If it is feasible, with guidance from experts here, I can get the fuel pump fixed on my own and then hand it over to the service center for general servicing.

    TIA.
