    Hi guys I'm phani kumar and im new here, I purchased hero achiever 150 from KRISHNA SAI MOTORS, MALKAJGIRI, HYDERABAD, India authorized dealer of Hero MotoCorp Ltd.

    I have been facing many difficulties with the bike despite taking proper care, ever since the first service, bike had many issues in it like not accelerating over 7000RPM while riding which was complained and sorted out in 2nd servicing , then suddenly while riding bike to my village, in the middle of nowhere bike stopped moving anymore and its piston blasted the reason for that was no engine oil in the engine it was caused due to the negligence of the mechanic at the service center for giving me the bike without proper checkup while 2nd servicing, I claimed warranty and all the damaged engine parts were replaced as the service center says and they have only changed bore and piston.

    Ever since then my bike was not the same I had to go to service center every onse in a month having lot of issues in it and engine used to drink engine oil pretty fastly than recommended I had to replace engine oil every onse in a month. Engine used to emit white smoke all the time.

    I think there is something worse happend to the engine due to driving it without oil and the service center people are not disclosing and trying to escape from getting loss, but just managing me and the bike to work temporarily.

    I have given a proper complaint with notice in it to the company to repair my bike permanently to avoid further correspondence the service centre people kept my bike with then since 11days and today is 12th day I haven't even got it back from them yet

    What could have happened to my bikes engine? How will i be able to check if it's okay after I receive it from them without warranty beingvoid? Because I hardly know about bike engine and they can fool me again? Help please!!!

      First things first:
      NEVER drive a new motorcycle beyond 4000 rpm for the first 3000 kms. You mentioned that you were unable to take it beyond 7000 rpm BEFORE 1st servicing that means you must be driving absolutely recklessly since day 1!

      Second thing, you could have asked the mechanics to confirm the quantity of engine oil after the servicing. I always check the engine oil level immediately after bringing it out of the service center.

      You are in luck because the engine seizure due to shortage of oil has completely masked the symptoms of rash driving. Now even if an engineer comes from Head office, he won't be able to tell whether it was the owner's fault or not since the engine is completely messed up after the engine oil fiasco!

      By the way, your complete engine and gearbox is totally messed up, changing bore and piston only is like putting a band-aid on a chopped off leg! Your issues will be resolved only after replacing the overall engine and gearbox.

      You shouldn't bother with the local Hero motocorp branch, they won't do anything UNTILL they are being forced by Hero Head office or by courts. First goto Hero motocorp's website and post a complaint there alongwith all details like vehicle registration number, chassis number etc. Tell them specifically that it was the service center's fault that they forgot to fill engine oil and that resulted in engine seizure.
      And instruct them in strict language that you will settle for nothing less than complete replacement of engine and gearbox. Tell them that you are willing to file a case in the consumer court if they don't co-operate.

        Fact of the matter remains that you can redline a motorcycle out of the showroom and still run fine for tens of thousands of km's.

        Your issue is caused purely by negligence on part of the ASC.

        Do raise a strong complaint and ensure that all your internals get replaced, as I wouldn't risk salvaging anything that had been running dry without proper inspection.

          I would suggest Pandu bro to raise a complaint but don't ask for complete replacement of engine & gearbox. Instead, ask them to give you a new bike. First reason, always aim high in a bargain. Second, anything be it electronics or vehicle or a machine, when manufactured is in stock condition. And no matter which expert or engineer does the replacement or repair in field (out of factory), it will never be in stock condition. It'll be just what we call a jugaad. I personally know about such a case with a colleague's car, who raised the issue enough and was patient at mind though outright aggressive with his complaints, he got a brand new stock car.
