  • TVS Apache RTR 160 EFI 2008 - Need Help on Service Manual

Hey Guys, kindly help me on getting the Service Manual for TVS Apache RTR 160 EFI 2008. TVS Service Center became useless for the repair and troubleshooting in my area. I bought this Bike at Bangalore, but currently located in Namakkal, Tamilnadu. If there is any good service center around Salem, Karur, Erode or Trichy, kindly let me know. Lastly I did service at Rainbow Motors, but now, they are saying, they don't have manpower for FI bikes. Last time also they said, its better I change this bike with new model, since they don't keen to troubleshoot. I've two problems in my bike. ODO clocked 36000 KMs.

    1) Starting trouble - When I start the bike, the RPM randomly goes here and there and then goes Off when I try to accelerate. After 5 to 10 tries, it becomes normal.
    2) Self Start is not working.

    Recent changes in my Bike:
    1) Battery changed.
    2) FI Pump/Motor/Filter has been replaced.

Your help is greatly appreciated. I love my bike. I've spent a lot to keep it alive so far. Looks like it has come to end, but I really feel worse to give up. If anyone help me, would be greatly appreciated.

Hello brother. You have a option to get your bike ready and healthy.
You may contact to any TVS service centers in nearby cities and you may visit nearby showrooms. One more thing that you should contact nearby parts stockists for availability of spares.
All details can be found on official site of TVS.
A good idea is... The customer care of TVS is very responsive and helpful for customers.

        Bro,

Thanks for the reply. I'm quite surprised that, TVS Service has got such a satisfied customer. I always service my bike with TVS only, my luck must be very bad. Anyhow they helped to fix my Self Start problem by changing the Self Motor & One Way Clutch, bus still facing random RPM issue. They said it can't be fixed, since they're not able to get many parts of this bike.

EFI vehicles needs different technicians and service setups so contact a dealer who have such setup and manpower so to get good results and contact to TVS customer care about parts and visit nearby parts stockist.
