Nikhil told me that you are using Phadnis's 220 for the time till he takes it to Indore. I think you better check it out by parking both his and your bike side by side. BTW your current setup looks way better than a 220 stock headlight so I dont see why you want to change the headlight .

So my second question is whether nightbreaker can be installed with HID kit or its a mandate to installl it as is whether with coil or battery?

      Thanks in advance
      Chinese 8000k is useless,
buy a 4300k kit with projector if possible.
It will give you awesome illumination.

How you done this? i'm also looking the same one on ma bike.
Assuming you too have a Pulsar, you need to open up the headlight glass. 90% chance it will break at some points. Do NOT worry. Lumax sells just the glass under the brand DKMAX for 200 bucks. You can use that. Once you open the headlight up, pull out the reflector, make a plate to hold the projectors and mount this plate in the headlight. You will need to cut the back to access the bulb mounts of the projectors. Install the glass. All this is easier said than done. Remember not to touch the reflector anywhere else it loses its shine.

Do go out tot he probiking showroom and take a look at the headlight assy. that should answer almost all your questions.
Bad way of dealing with a new guy I say.
But hell yeah! I achieved what I wanted. A projector setup with 2 HIDs

Vighnesh, If you check the date on the first post of mine in this thread, it goes all the way back to 2009. Back then I was a n00b. And yes my modded headlight's spread pattern is better than the 220F as mine is a bit raised and has HIDs.

Amen to that brother! 8000K is pretty much useless. It looks good to people.

Try to look for atleast 6000K. But 4300K is the real deal.
Not all chinese kits are bad. You just need to find the one that's of good quality or else contact Navnish. You can retain the rest of the kit and just swap the bulb to a 4300K one. I did the same and that too from H4 to H7.
BTW which bike do you have? Did you do the DC conversion?

IS it too big?? Can't I cut the fibre fairing to fit the headlight?Actually I had this idea. Why not cut the current fairing according to the p220's headlight assy and make it fit inside and get the fairing painted again.Any suggestions? Also I know that I would have to get clamps and all welded. That's fine. But mainly I wanted a p180UG3 with projected headlamps[from the 200 ofcourse] inside the original bikini fairing of the p180UG3.

Any wild ideas too are welcome.
Was thinking on similar lines for my Unicorn.

The length of the vertical stack of 220 lamps is ~ 18 cm.
Whereas, the lens of the lens portion only is about 12cm.

You will have to hack off a portion off the visor to accomodate the assy plus the speedo unit behind the visor will interfere with the positioning.

If lighting matters to you more than looks, you could go with the projector assy without the plastic cowl.

I have another masterplan which i shall let you know if it works !

Hope you have done some progress.. I own a P180 UG3.. I had at some point thought about the upgrade.. let me shed some light on this.. might be its useful..
First of all running a HID means it requires DC current and pulsars UG3 backwards are all AC current it means even if you are successful in anyhow mounting the projector physically, its necessary to do a serious upgrade to the coil to increase the charging rates in order to charge the battery at the higher rate that the HID will discharge it.. Pulsars have one of the most powerful charging rates and a 9 amp battery.. In stock state the battery wont last more than 20-25 minutes and on a daily use it will devoid the battery and the HID does not even start up..
My use is 15+15 km trip to office, one side night, takes around 30-35 min and the back trip in the morning, so no light its only charging..
I tried the avg coil upgrade.. It was going good until i ran into issues with ignition and had to do away with it and get back to stock.. Worth mentioning is that the 60w bulb had started damaging the reflector too..
I had two auxillary lamps too fitted on the crash guard with AC stock current routed to them and the 60W headlamp was made DC.. Sadly, i had to make an urgent touring trip and dint get time to switch back the main headlamp to AC.. As a result, the 150 km 3-4 hour back trip at night made the battery go kaput, not to mention the battery gave up in the initial 45 min and i was left at the mercy of the little auxillary lamp which was AC to make by trip back..
I got it replaced with amaron and this time I got an 6000K HID 35W Kit fitted, it worked fine for the first 2-3 days with my office trips then the starter started giving up due to low battery.. and even a 15 km trip wasnt enough to charge the battery fully to use HID.. one or two starters n then it would be off.. It reached to the point where the HID would refuse to start..
So it would be better if you try stabilizing a 35W DC light first before going into any serious upgrade and by increase the charging rate, which would avoid any unnecessary losses..
Here are some pics during the upgrade..

All the best.. Hope to see your progress..
