FZS-V2, 150cc 2018 Huge Drop in Mileage
Hi Guyz,
I have bought 2018 Armada Blue FZs-Fi, V2 150cc Bike on 2018/12/20. It been only around 2 and half month and my meter trip is 3400km.
Everything was perfect untill first service, mileage was about 48-50kmpl. After few days of first service i am hearing some weird noise, like tappets noise so i ask them for fix it and they fix the sound my adjusting the valve clearance.
After few days i went for long drive of about 400km and calculated the mileage and it take 12 Liters to cover that distance and i went to YAMAHA center and told them, i am not getting good mileage, the technician open the spark plug and say its giving good mileage and ask me to go, i was disappointed and went from there, after few days of ride i went for second service (2300km) hoping this time it will fix the problem and also ask to check the valve clearance, they just changed engine oil and check the valve clearance and said everything is alright, after filling engine oil my bike threw some black smoke from silencer and he said ride it and if after 500km if the problem persists we will go for warranty.
Due to some family reason i have to ride 700km away from my workstation, so i ride the bike and again calculated the mileage, Now after second service my bike consumed 24.9 liter of petrol in 913km ride. which is again around 36.5kmpl.
My friends fz fi 2016 is giving average of 45kmpl and my new bike is giving me only of 33/37. What may be the problem.
Few days ago i went to YAMAHA center for white smoke problem (High RPM) and calming warranty, As the Main technician/ Engineer is off duty, they ask me to wait until he come and check so i have to wait 10/12 days until he returns. They said we have to check the half engine and need engineer for that.
Now after 5 days of visiting YAMAHA, the white smoke stopped coming. I don't know what to tell them, is low mileage may be due to Half Engine problem ?
I am so much tensed because i never ride my bike harshly, i am so much carefull in case of riding.
Can any one suggest me what i need to check ? so that after few days when the engineer will come i may ask them to check the things? This was my hard earned money and i am very much sad to see it like this.
