  • Assistance on karizma ZMR fuel Injector and throttle body cleaning

    Hello everyone,

I've been in a dilemma for the past 1 week, I personally own a 2003- Premium Sport and 2010 Zmr! The premium sport is such a beautiful machine that till date it's just the carb that has been cleaned and the engine is still un opened, one of the very few machines with the pure raw power, ZMR on the other hand is more of a refined motorcycle yet it has some power in it, I had to replace my fuel pump as I was completely negligent of the fact that I should never let the bike run out of fuel, but I was drunk ( I basically don't ride when I'm drunk, but that day I had to reach home somehow that my mom was alone as my dad had to leave for a meeting next day) so on my way home I forgot the fact that I should refuel and as expected that nightmare came into reality, the bike choked and as soon as noticed it, I pulled over and called a friend of mine to drop me!

Skipping a few scenarios, the fuel pump was damaged as it would stop working once it gets hot, replaced it with a new one. It's been like 2 months
But now things are seriously wrong.

I basically do most the work on my bike, last day I noticed that rpm on my Zmr has become unstable as it would rise up and drop simultaneously, when I got home I inspected the bike and I noticed that there is some suction noise (Chuck Chuck) which is coming from the throttle body,! I was doubtful since I had my old fuel pump I swapped it and checked as it would work fine for half n hour, the issue is still there so the fuel pump is fine, next was the fuel injector, when I replaced the fuel pump I even tried cleaning the fuel injector and I had lost an o ring, but I had managed to find an o ring similar to that size, so I though to inspect the fuel injector, an o ring was worn out and one is loose. I couldn't find any o ring that would fit perfect
The condition of my machine is so bad that it would shoot up to 6k rpm at idle along with the Chuck chuck noise while cranking up the engine. Is this because of air entering from injector to the throttle body ? Or is there any other possibility ?

I need assistance with this, the svc guys are of no use !

    Thank you

If the rpms dont behave erratically while you ride, then it mostly points to a leak in the intake manifold. Could be due to a O ring leak, or maybe the throttle body isn't installed properly . Getting the fuel injector cleaned/replaced can help narrow it down further.
