  • Replacement of Avenger 180 stock headlight bulb

Can anyone suggest good replacement bulb for bright & clear vision during night driving instead of stock 60/55w H4 for avenger 180 street? I am really not happy with quality of light that I get and have faced few near miss mishaps due to potholes being not spotted well in advance.
Already considering fog lamps for my bike.

If you are riding during night time, Go with Philips Diamond vision H4 55W cost some thing 700 to 800 /bulb. 1400 to 1600 /2 piece..

I have been using Philips diamond vision 35W in Head light and 55W H3 Philips diamond vision in fog lamp for the last 3 years..

Here is bulb listed in range of 55W H4 fitment with their kelvin light and aroundcost..

      Philips diamond vision H4 55W - 5000 k light -1400 to 1600 inr /2 bulb.
      conventional Head lamp H4 55W - 3000 k to 3500 k light -100 to 500 inr
      Led/Xenon Hid kit - H4 20 to 35 W 6000 k light - cost 250 to 1200 inr
      Philips Ultinon Led lamp H4 23W - 6000 k light - cost 6000 inr /2 bulb
      Boss Gigalight plus 120 H4 55W- 4000 k to 4300 k light with Long focus - cost 1100 inr /2 bulb..
Hella metal fog lamp - 300 to 600 inr per piece.. ( do not Buy plastic one, buy metal one and use tube Rubber pad insulation for no earth leaking ... plastic is delicate while metal is strong)
Hella plastic fog lamp - 2000 inr per 2 piece
      Philips diamond vision H3 55W for Fog lamp - 600 /700 inr
      H3 any Chinese Led - 20 to 40 W - cost -300 to 1200 inr

Osram Bulb's focus tend to vibrate on road so eye catchy and gives fatigue over long night ride..
Led tends to give eye fatigue over long ride during night time...
Philips diamond vision are worst for city ride cause its 5000 k light is disappear with City lights and also it has no longer life compare to conventional halogen.
While conventional halogen lamp 3500 k light is good for city ride,
Hid Xenon kit tends to work when heated good and gives Hi focus , low focus is standard yellow light, so it is useless for Highway ride, using HI focus all the time may harass other rider/drivers on the road.
Led fog lamps are for Just show off not good for highway rides... as their focus is limited.

My - 290 to 350 km return journey ride is always during night time so i always prefer Philips as i have tried and tested with several bulbs..

Go with Hella 6" fog Lamp and replace standard bulb with Philips H3 (single filament) diamond vision,
Hella fog lamps comes with H3 fitment bulbs -- may choose Philips diamond vision or any Led or any bulb with H3 fitment if it is preferable for you..

I have been using HS1 35W Philips diamond vision + 2X Hella Fog lamp with Philips H3 55W single filament diamond vision bulbs since last 3 years and over all my experience with Philips is good especially for night riding..

If your motorcycle has good amp battery like more than 5 amp then go for Hella with 55W H3 Philips other wise go for H3 - Led bulb that comes in H3 fitment with 15W to 30W rating capacity to reduce overall load on battery for Long night ride run.... I have got 9 Ah battery so 2X Hella with 2x H3 Philiphs diamond vision can lasted long for 4 to 5 hours on Ac wiring and currently converted to Dc system in which it last too much longer...

I have tested Osram, Led, Xenon hid , Philips on highway ride but my most preferable halogen bulb is Philips diamond vision always..

For the same reason as you are facing now i have faced long time ago but now i am satisfied..., If possible i will put photo of Hella fog lamp together with head lamp.

Very good detailed response Chirag. Thanks. I am slightly confused when you said, you are using HS1 35W in combination of fog lamps instead of H4 60/55w which are stock. Not clear how you are using. Mine is avenger 180,2018 model.
