1. Stock tyres are good, but if you wanna replace the stock new tyre you may get some amount not much.

2. Go for Apollo Alpha cost 11000/- front and back.

3. Regarding insurance I don't know much.

1.Talk to the next tyre dealer - it could be Michelin, Pirelli, Apollo, CEAT or anything that's good and available in the market. They'll probably reduce some amount and you can strike a deal. This totally depends on how social you are.

2. Apollo seems to be good from the forum feedback. But I want to know if you have/had bitter experience with the stock MRF tyres. My 220 is on stock MRF tyres and despite 1 puncture(that was deliberate by mischievous people in the society), it provides decent life and grip for my usage.

3. Tell the showroom you'll get insurance from outside on your own and that they'll have to reduce that amount from the total. No fighting the dealer but if they say NO - take your cheque book to somewhere else. What you are asking is full coverage which will be costly.
Take online help or call your bank advisor and tell him/her your requirements.

This is usually done with cars, where you swap to alloys wheels or better tyres by getting 50-60% price for old tyres.

So, before taking delivery visit few dealers in JC Road and get a quote price and date on which you'll come, on taking delivery take it directly to the dealer and nowhere else just to make sure you don't put more than 30-50kms on the tyre.

Tyre shops usually clean the tyre, polish it and repack it and sell it off as brand new tyre at full cost to innocent people who don't have hawk eyes to spot the difference.

Apollo does indeed have good reviews compared to stock MRF and CEAT Rad X1, but Apollo's are priced as same as Michelin Pilot's.
At that price I'd rather prefer the Michelin's over the Apollo just for the slightly better dry performance in straight lines and longer life of ilot's.

If you are into cornering at 20+ lean angle you should be going for Apollo's where Michelin would be slightly weaker in corners.
