    Mistake in RC Book by RTO.

    Hi,

    I have recently purchased Yamaha Fazer 25, the RC book has my full name mentioned clearly. but under - Son Of : they missed out my father's first name & mentioned only the surname. I spoke to couple of people for advise including the RTO agent, they all said it doesn't matter if in "Son Of" section does not have your father's name as long as your complete name & Bike related information is properly mentioned. In order to correct this mistake, the agent has asked for Rs.900/-, it is not the matter of money but i dont think I should pay for their error.

    I look for your advise, kindly confirm whether this is going to pose any issues.

      First of all that Agent is overcharging you, I don't know which state you are from but here (Assam) in RTO office the standard fee for RC correction is just Rs.200!

      And yes, as long as owners name, address and bike information are correct you have nothing to worry about.

        I am from Mumbai, Maharashtra. I checked with Traffic cop the other day, a couple of them also said the same thing...that it doesn't matter if the said issue is there in my RC.
