  • Engine repair of Bajaj Pulsar 150

I own Bajaj Pulsar 150 (2017 model). Since 15k kms my bike was sounding weird (knack sound). Currently, it has covered 19k kms. Yesterday I showed the bike to mechanic and he changed:

    1. Timing chain
    2. Clutch Plate
    3. Pressure plate
    4. Engine oil
    5. Valve
    6. Air filter
    7. Gasket
    8. Some nuts

When I informed about this repair to my friend, he told me that it is overhauling of engine and the mechanic has fooled me.
Now, I want to know whether the mechanic has fooled me by changing these parts at 19k kms and charging Rs.3500 or was it a necessary repair?

The mechanic has definitely fooled you. Sorry to state this. But also, this is not engine overhauling. Timing chain on pulsars last minimum 35-40k kms, clutch plates around 25-30. Rest of the things look like normal servicing.
