  • Apache 200 exhaust issue.

I have an Apache 200 and the exhaust has lately developed an issue. Whenever I ride the bike, it behaves normally for a few kms but after that the exhaust makes a continuous vibration, like something has broken inside. Showed it to the SVC, one of the mechanics said that the net inside the exhaust has cracked. They said to replace the exhaust for ₹12000, which I cannot afford for the next 6 months. The bike has done 19k kms. I won't get warranty as I was out of town and have missed the 4th, 5th and 6th service. Anything which can be done? The sound is really irritating. Very desperate for some help.
    Thank you.

This is the problem with showroom mechanics, they are always focused on making more money for the Dealership. I say you just try out a jugaad with a Local mechanic(cutting open the exhaust and fixing whats broken).
Or else go for a used exhaust from a scrapped bike. There are a couple of aftermarket ones which dont make a lot of noise, find those if you are you interested.
