TVS Jupiter braking issue.
Hi, my Jupiter's front brake (drum) becomes hard if I do not use it for 5 to 6 hours. The lever freeplay becomes less and while applying only slight pressure on the lever, about 80% of braking force, the scooter skids. But after riding for about 10 minutes the brake freeplay becomes normal and brakes become progressive and good.I showed it to svc and they rubbed the brake drum with emery paper, but again after some months I am facing the same problem.

Is this the Sync brake variant with combi brake?Originally posted by #bpk View PostI showed it to svc and they rubbed the brake drum with emery paper, but again after some months I am facing the same problem.

If yes the the suspect is the Front and Rear brake equalizer module sitting near the handlebar
Uneven brake pressure, front brake becoming tight/hard while using only rear brakes etc etc indicates bad equalizer module.
If it's not a Sync brake model, then check if the brake cable line is getting stuck or dragging anywhere while turning the handle from left to right, I am suspecting the cable line is getting dragged somewhere.Last edited by kiran2508; 07-01-2019, 11:11 PM.Bajaj SuperFE 150 - Forever in my heart
