  • Pulsar NS200 ABS not going over 7000 rpm

I have a Bajaj Pulsar NS200 ABS (2018). My bike is just 10 months old.
The problem that I am facing is that it won't go over 7000 RPM (~95 km/h).
Please tell me what could be the problem.

Check carb slide.. Swap carb with new and check difference.

There are several posts related to this issue. Even my NS 200 wont go past 95kmph in 6th gear. These new BS4 models have some issue. Go to the SVC and ask them this. There is some major issue with engine. I checked carburettor, changed clutch plates, changed air filter, wheels are spinning freely, only thing left to check is engine.
I think the issue is related to valves and compression leak. Get it checked now and dont ride for longer times, there are chance you may face engine head issue.

Like I said before saying again lot of BS4 NS 200 owners are facing this issue.

Go to a good mechanic.. i mean a good experienced one.. Get the timing and valve clearance set up according to the manual.. most mechanics and even the svc guys are allergic to using feeler guage.. make sure you buy one it's very handy.. hope it'll solve your problem

I am also facing same problem. My ABS will keep on on high speeds even after 20 km. When i engage clutch i could see 0 in my speedometer when ABS light is on. Recently i got it changed from Service center after 2 weeks again same problem. I just completed 250 KM ride in this ride i am unable to see speed on speedometer its start showing 0 and shows some numbers which doesnt match the speed.

Dont know what could be the problem. All this started when i kept my bike alone in lockdown for 80 days without touching

I don't think your abs unit was faulty but your speed sensor is gone kaput. get it checked, I think there is one in the rear disc too. between your disc brakes there is a disc which is full of slots, above it is a speed sensor attached.

Pulsar NS200 ABS not going over 7000 rpm

Hey guys I have an pulsar as 200 , I have a similar problem , bike goes very slowly above 7000 rpm on 5 th gear and 6000 rpm on 6th if I accelerate for let’s say 10-15 seconds till it somehow reaches 8000rpm it immediately picks up and races ahead. But the pickup between 7000-8000 is very slow like as if something is stopping it from moving.
I’ve gone to the service station and he says no problem , But I know the problem exists but am unable to get it fixed

It was fine a few months ago not sure what has caused this, if anyone can lead me in the right direction it’ll be helpful
