  • Problems with Honda CBR 250R

    HI, xBhpians.

Had couple of minor incidents. Bike fell on left side which caused clutch and gear shift lever bent. Happened before first service, had run like that for 100 Kms since my first service slot was few days away. Mechanic at SVM Honda aynavaram, Chennai noticed left hand bar had bent. Replaced it along with clutch lever. He had adjusted gear shift lever manually, removed the bend to an extend. My issues now are

    1. Hard or unable to downshift, I had to release clutch for each gear then only lower gear would engage. Rare occasions it's easy to downshift.

    2. Recently noticed coolant had leaked from both sides, unable to find the source of leakage. Drained upto lower mark. My bad, I hadn't noticed it earlier. Must have ran around 80 Kms including to service center.

    3. Wierd vibrations on both the foot rest pads while Engine brakes - at zero throttle when gear is engaged. With clutch no vibrations felt like that.

Now I have given the bike to the same service center. Pls advice on this. Should I consider another service center in Chennai, suggest good ones. Also suggest me the coolant and oil to be used for CBR 250R.

    Thanks...

I have an ns200 ,,,. Faced point 1 initially after a fall ,,, it was due to clutch assembly ,,,, now I'm at 15K and the spring in the gear shaft has broken and causing this problem,,,,,.

      I guess may be it's either ,,,,

      1. The clutch assembly is not working
      2. Spring in the gear shaft has broken

Get both checked ,,, spring cost for NS is just 6 rs

Clutch assembly in NS is present just very near to the clutch lever ,,, a small housing it is ,,, was around 100 rs I guess
