I have been trying to find the issue for almost a year now. Many BS4 NS users have complained about the same. My Bike wont accelerate past a certain RPM and this RPM is different for different gears. Find information below:
Gear 1, 2, 3: Smooth acceleration till readline
Gear 4: RPM wont cross 9000. Speed hovers around 90
Gear 5: RPM wont cross 7000. Speed hovers around 90
Gear 6: RPM wont cross 6500. Speed hovers around 94
ASC and local mechanics always wanted to go for my clutch plates and wanted to change them as they think clutch plates are the issue. But my common sense suggested me if clutch plates are worn out then RPM should go till redline and speed wont increase. But the RPM is getting stuck.
Here are the things I have done yet the issue persists:
1. Checked and cleaned carb, since it may be due to faulty slider mechanism. But the carb is fine as evident from gears 1-3 acceleration
2. Replaced clutch plates. Yepp no mechanic wanted to proceed without changing them. :-(
3. Replaced air filter.
4. Replaced engine oil at timely intervals.
5. Checked chain slack and the chain is well lubed.
6. Wheels are spinning freely
7. Replaced two spark plugs as they were clogged.
Experienced people please help. I am also in contact with other NS users who are facing this issue and are still not able to solve it. This request is on behalf of everyone.
