  • Experience with Bajaj Dealership

    Hi everyone

I recently bought Bajaj Avenger 160 street abs.(a thread regarding the same is available). Bike is fine and no issues as of now. Took my mechanic for selecting bike and helped good as well My issue is with the dealer only. Kindly find the details as below.

    1. Dealer Sairam Bajaj Gobichettipalayam
    2. Price 1 Lakh
    3. Date of payment 15-07-2019
    4. Date of Registration 16-07-2019
    5. Date of Delivery 17-07-19

    Issues faced
    1. Bikes were kept in an uncompleted building, no lights, no floor. Had to select bike with mobile light
    2. Bike was delivered on 17-07-19. No papers handed over, on questioning told it is RTO and will be given next day. And it was not given, went there to get it.
    3. The bill had no signatures of the dealer and neither took any of my signatures. The bill was got ex showroom price(including tax) and not for the actual amount I paid. On questioning I was told to get it later.
    4. Got the registration number, took RC in digi locker. But number plates will be delivered after 10-15 days time as they told it has to be printed and come as it is HSRP. Called after a week of purchase and they told it will take another week.
    5. There was no medical kit, tool kit and owners manual given with the bike. On questioning after reaching home told it will be there in bike. I checked the bike and it was not there. Told they will give soon.

After these issues sent a mail to Bajaj stating all issues and attached the scanned copies of documents. Got an SMS with a reference number and mentioned that the same dealer will assist in the same. Got call from the dealer today, same person who sold the bike and discussed it. Couldn't give proper reply to any queries and told will call once everything comes(rc, number plates)

Kindly clarify me on what should I do about it. And how long it will take to get a HSRP number plates in Tamilnadu and RC from RTO?

Previously got a Honda Dio 2 years back. That time took a different mechanic and he took care of everything from buying till I get RC in hand. Since he was not available I had to take the other mechanic. I could see a customer-centric approach with Honda than sales-centric approach of Bajaj.
