    Problems with 1-year-old Yamaha FZ-16 V2

    I own FZ16 V2.0. The bike has completed 1 year, 6000 km on the Odo and 4 free services have been availed.

    The problem is that the bike vibrates a lot over 40 km/h and engine heats up a lot even during smaller runs. I can also hear a tik-tik noise in the front wheel as well (the bearing or the disk, I cannot figure out which one). The engine is quite jerky too.

    Any suggestions would be really helpful.

    Questions:

    -Can I change engine oil to Motul 7100 10W40?

    -When to replace spark plug and air filter?

    -Is FI cleaning necessary?

      What was the drain interval for each oil change?

      Fz v2 uses yamalube which is good for 3500km nothing more.
      After that you would feel shakiness and a slightly noisy engine, also vibrations.

      I think if you have done this at SVC, tell them to change the engine oil and oil filter in front of you.
      I have been customer to yamaha svc's for 4 years now, believe me they just want money and want to save time by not doing general maintenance.
      The only time you want to go there is when your bike doesnt start due to any reasons. Because they take tough jobs seriously.
