I own a 2016 Yamaha Fazer Verison-2.
1) Idling Noise Issue : Right from the purchase of the vehicle i felt that when the bike is in idling condition the idle noise is not even.
The idle noise will be a Dhak Dhak kind of sound. The bike is in neutral and if i just close the clutch this dhak dhak idling noise disappears and the idling noise is even and on the softer note. Few people suggest that the Clutch Reset can resolve this issue and this dhak dhak idle noise will go off.
I inquired the same to the Mechanic in Yamaha Authorized Service Center (ASC), he is saying not to do this process and it will harm the camshaft and other parts in the engine stating that much power will go straight into the engine. He is saying that Yamaha has by default given this much clutch play resulting in that Dhak Dhak noise in idling and its normal for the FZ/Fazer to have this sound. Clutch reset will eradicate this sound but it will harm the vehicle so don't do it.
2) Fork Bend issue : Few months back bike fell of on right side in a speed of 10-15 kmph and started to give a crunch (kadak) noise in the fork. The Yamaha Authorized Service center (ASC) mechanic said that fork has got some bend and i have experienced this many times, even if the bike falls in stand still position in bike stand or somewhere else the fork gets bend. Is this the quality issue of fork in my bike or its usual ??
3) Fork Tube issue : Often i get the crunching (Kadak) sound in my forks and i had to tight the forks quite often and its been a headache always. Even after excellent service after 500kms run post the service this issue occurs. The Yamaha Authorized Service center (ASC) mechanic says that water has leaked into the fork tubes and the tubes need to be replaced. I'am wondering how come water will go inside the closed fork tubes and create damage to them ??
4) Chain Noise : Another annoying issue i have it always in the Bike. Service is done bike runs for 500kms and then i make the proper chain lubing with motul chain lube the bike will run good for another 500kms and then the chain noise starts to arise and its too loud as well irritating. Even if i lube again after 2 days the noise kicks in and never goes off. How to resolve this ??
5) Yamaha Asc says Crank has issue : The pick up got reduced and engine noise is bit high sometimes hence i asked the same to Yamaha (Asc) they are saying that crank has become old engine has started to age, need to work on Cylinder kit piston rings camshaft clutch plate and all these works will cost Rs.15,000/- The reason he said for this is that am not using Yamaha Lube and am using Motul Engine oil and that has created all this issue.
I use Motul 7100 Fully synthetic 10w40, grade i use is as per Yamaha specification for the Fazer Version 2. As per my knowledge sysnthetic oils will have more stickiness and thick enough that it will lubricate well and wont easily drain off from the internal parts. But the ASC mechanic says it wont lubricate properly hence all the internal parts will dash on each other run rough and will incur more wear and tear in synthetic oil and thus the above crank complaint.
As far my knowledge Crank is built well to last like a tank at-least for a Lakh kilometer when the bike is used in normal driving conditions. But mechanic says need to re-work the cylinder kit .
Thanks in Advance
