  • Bike not Starting

    Hi,

I own a pulsar 200NS. I wasn't able to use my bike for a duration of 3 months due to certain personal issues. Post that, Now when I am trying to start it, it is not getting started. My battery is new, I got it tested and charged. I also tried to push and start but it is not working.

When I contacted a mechanic over phone, he suggested that as it was shut for 3 months, I might have to give it for a full service and he might have to check the carburettor and replace parts if required.

I wanted to confirm whether is it required to be serviced with full cleaning or is there anything I can try or suggest someone to check first?

A quick reply is highly appreciated as I have tyres waiting to get installed at a dealer shop. Once this issue is resolved, only then can I get the tyres.

    Thanks in advance.

If you plan to keep the bike idle for long periods of time then the suggestion is to disconnect the battery and drain the fuel. Now I guess there could be blockages in the fuel line and/or injectors could be clogged, so better go for a full service.
