  • i have my yamaha gladiator light changed to hid.The mechanic did the wiring in such a way that all the electricals i.e the parking light, tail light, consol light and the hid are working on battery.Due to this my battery was getting drained.
After reading this thread i made a rectifier..but now i want to know how do i install it in my gladiator.will the wiring be similar to pulsars or different?

The wiring will be different. You just need to find the wire going to headlight, from the coil. In case you have a Wring Diagram of Gladi, put it here.

That diagram is quiet difficult to understand.. resolution is not enough. And if it's FI, it should also be DC, and if' i'm not wrong Galdi is AC?

Well simply you can try checking out all the wires coming from the coil. Check for either yellow or red wire. One of these should be providing current to headlight.

How to verify? Simple, you have to try and remove the wires one by one, with the bike on and headlight on, as soon as you remove the specific wire, headlight should switch off. So how do you do that? Cutting is one option, second try if you can some how isolate the contacts at the Harness.

            • HH Splendor Plus_Head light upgradation

Hai Gurus, this forum rocks, this is my first post in this forum. Yesterday, I purchased Osram N/B-55/60W for my 2003 model HH Splendor Plus at A.H. Helmets, Mumbai. As referred by Mr. Hemant there, I approached a mechanic for installation of the same, he installed the bulb without installing relay or upgrading/rewinding the coil and not upgraded the headlight wires. When I switch on the Head light, other lights i.e., speedo-light, tail light lose their intensity. Please help me with the following:

              (1) In case of cars, separate after market headlight bulb upgradation wiring harness kit is available, any such thing is available for two wheelers and while in cars separate relays are available for headlights and horns, any such headlight relays are available for bike headlights (Please also suggest me the company)
              (2) What sort of coil rewinding/gauge upgradations have to be done to withstand the load of 55/60W bulb (Please suggest me a good mechanic to do the work in Mumbai-Goregaon, Jogeshwari)
              (3) I've installed Bosch dual tone horns with the stock battery in position with relay, whether the same will eat up the battery prematurely
              (4) Also, installed NGK Iridium (with yellow imported wire) spark plug, K & N filter from the same mechanic (Barring horn, all the other items bought from A.H. Helmets), Please advice me it is ok with these installations, whether these are not harmful to the engine.

Please bear with my (newbie's) questions.

              Thanks in advance.
