Hi, I was thinking about doing a ride to the North Eastern states. While doing research I found references of highways being unsafe in states like Bihar and Jharkhand.

Here, I am talking about the crime. It can't be denied that every road is unsafe up to some extent but Bihar seems to get a special mention.

The road quality of NH27 appears decent in the images so I guess that won't be an issue.

It would great if others can share their experiences and whether one should choose a route that passes through that state.

One workaround is taking a flight and renting a motorcycle in Assam. But that will defeat my whole purpose of buying a motorcycle for riding.
