  • Apache RTR 180 bore to 200?

I own an Apache RTR 180.Is it possible to have it bored as a 200cc?
Or can I install 200cc block?
I just wanted to update it to 200cc. What modifications do I need?

The factory bore kit for the 200 comes with a piston that has a cut out for 4 valves. You will need to get a piston with a cutout to match the 2 valve engine head. I would like to ask you if you want to increase the low end or the top end performance as a priority???

Get a used block from an insurance write off(Try to befriend the service centre manager) and get it overbored with a matching piston. The 2 valve layout will always give you a better low end when paired with the same port configuration and camshaft. Make sure to check the spark plug regularly tl you dial in the tuning once the oerbore job is completed. Also you will save a lot of money by just over boring if your machinist does a good job.

Is the RTR 2004v engine block direct fit on the Apache RTR 160 ? I am looking towards upgrading my 160 with complete engine of the 4v is it possible or has anyone done it ?

Is your's the RTR 160 2V or the newer 160 4V ? If it's the 2V, you will have a little issue with the clearance of the Tappet cover with the underside of the Fuel tank. Better for you to change the crankshaft, connecting rod and port your engine head to that of the RTR 180.
