    2017 KTM Duke 390 oil froth issue during lockdown

    Hi Guys,

    I am facing an oil frothing issue on my 2017 edition KTM Duke 390.
    It has been around 2 weeks since I started up my bike and today i took it out. Idle warm-up for 2-3 minutes and went on a short 10 minutes ride.
    Upon returning I checked the oil window and found froth

    Some people suggested its oil and coolant getting mixed, but there is no greenish color i can see in the oil window.
    I have attached couple of snaps of the oil window. If anybody can give me any suggestion? weather it is an serious issue or just an other common duke problem!!

      Oil frothing can be due to two reasons, first mild foaming after start up is absolutely normal, which would disappear after the engine is warmed up. If the froth is increasing and starting to cover the entire window with creamy foam like appearance, it means the coolant is mixing with the engine oil. Get your head gasket, and water pump seals checked immediately. If not checked earlier, your will run the risk of seizing your engine.
