R15 battery overcharging issue

Hi folks,

I have a 2011 model R15 and it was running fine without any issues. Recently what i have seen that the battery charges more than expected. It goes up to 17-18. But if the engine gets heated up and fan is switched on, then the charging issue is does not come up. again when i switch on the bike next same issue comes up. I think it is the RR unit issue. Please advice. I am afraid as i dont want to change the rr unit as it is costly.

Coming to your query, I'd start with checking the ground. Then RR. Once you ensure ground is ok, keep an eye on the voltage. Swap RR and check if necessary.
Also, do a continuity test of the entire circuitry.
